Synopsis:

Seraphina Miles lives the life of a typical fourteen-year-old until she finds herself sent halfway across the world to spend the summer with her estranged father, Jeffery Miles, at his archaeological dig site in Machu Picchu.

Dread. Boredom, Malcontent. Sera really pulls out all the usual teenage angst from day one. But that all changes the moment she uncovers an amulet hidden deep within the ruins of Machu Picchu. Throug its magic, sera finds an egg buried deep beneath the earth. When she hatches the golden egg in the middle of a burning fire, the phoenix inside imprints on her. The phoenix becomes her protector as he quests to find the amulet's missing stones to activate all her guardian powers.

On her journey to find the five stones, Sera will face many dangerous challenges. From spirits that attack her to deadly traps hidden near the stones, Sera's adventure is at times perilous, but her heart is true. She will reunite the stones at any cost. With the phoenix at her side, anything is possible, even destroying Bianca once and for all.

Centuries ago, the guardian's powers, once a source of good, were tainted when Bianca became the guardian. Dayanna, realizing her mistake in appointing Bianca as the next guardian, tried to stop her by destroying the amulet of power. When the amulet shattered, the five stones disappeared to be found by future guardians. It would be several centuries before a new guardian would be found. Although Dayanna managed to destroy Bianca, her evil lived on in spirit and deed. Now it's up to Sera and her phoenix to right what was wronged so many centuries ago.
