Synopsis:

Lily Rhodes, a high-achieving high school senior, becomes intrigued when Rowan Marx displaces her as the top student. After an awkward encounter in gym class leads to their first interaction, they begin spending time together, with Rowan eventually revealing his true nature as a summer fairy. Their relationship blossoms as he introduces her to his magical world and fae community.

However, their romance faces opposition from multiple fronts. Jack, Lily's best friend who secretly loves her, is revealed to be a Watcher - part of a group of faes who violently oppose human-fae relationships. Additionally, Rowan's vindictive ex-girlfriend Delilah attempts to harm Lily. During a confrontation with both threats, Lily discovers she possesses plant-based magical abilities, leading to the revelation that she is actually a demi-fae - born to a fairy mother and human father.
