Synopsis:

12-year-old Lily, a deaf Indigenous girl, shares a mystical bond with the magical forest by her home. Venturing deep into the woods one day with her dog Malachi, she discovers a portal that transports them to a fantastical forest realm. There, Lily meets Winston, a young Bigfoot training to become his tribe’s Guardian and forest protector. Destiny intertwines them, and Winston asks Lily to guide him on three epic quests before the next full moon to prepare him for his role.

 

Though anxious and missing her family, Lily agrees, feeling her ancestral connection to the land and intuition can aid Winston’s journey. With encouragement from her grandmother’s spirit, Lily chooses to fully embrace her destiny beside him. After passing tests of courage, compassion, and perception, Winston transforms into a true Guardian. He soon confronts and defeats the dark beast Cerberus to prove his worth, with covert assistance from Lily.

 

Having found inner strength and purpose, the pair returns to celebrate with Winston’s tribe. In an emotional goodbye, they promise to share their spiritual lessons across worlds. With her loyal dog Malachi, Lily steps back through the mystical portal forever changed. Though now separated, their enduring soul bond kindles hope. United in purpose for a brief magical time, Lily and Winston were forever transformed by the epic adventure and extraordinary friendship they discovered together.
