Lily Evergreen, a 12-year-old hearing-impaired Indigenous girl, has always listened to the world in a way others don’t—with her heart. When she follows the mysterious footprints deep into the enchanted forest, she comes face to face with Winston, a teenage Bigfoot struggling to prove himself worthy of becoming the next Forest Guardian.

To earn his place, Winston must pass two trials—first, rescuing a lost Pegasus hatchling, and second, saving Naya, a sacred spirit bear cub who is destined to protect the forest’s waters. With Lily’s determination and Winston’s strength, the two forge an unlikely friendship and uncover the deeper magic of the forest. But as Winston’s quest comes to an end, Lily realizes her own destiny is just beginning—as a Guardian of the Earth realm.
