Synopsis:

Pani, a rule-following pelican, and Omo, a daring young Peruvian seagull, are renowned detectives who run the Seed Crackers detective agency. Eager to expand their team, they’ve recently taken on a trainee, Pepe, a curious Galapagos mockingbird. Though talented, the trio is easily sidetracked by treasure hunting.

While relaxing on the beach, a distressed blue-footed boobie named Pedro asks for help to find his missing egg. Pani, Omo, and Pepe jump into action, tracing tracks on the sand until they discover the “missing egg” is actually Pedro's newly hatched chick, who had wandered off. Grateful, Pedro promises his help if they ever need it.

Later, the Seed Crackers are summoned by three lively Darwin finches about a strange mystery on the Galapagos Islands. Animals are acting oddly, and dormant volcanoes are rumbling back to life. The Seed Crackers reluctantly agree, lured by Pepe’s hint of possible treasure.

Arriving in the Galapagos, they’re met by Admiral Ignatius, a stern marine iguana. Although skeptical at first, Ignatius realizes their fame and leads them to an active volcanic crater that’s begun emitting steam. While investigating, they learn from island locals about ancient oracles—two statues holding magical keystones that control the volcanoes’ pressure.

Meanwhile, three mischievous rats, Raymond, Henos, and Sergio, have stolen one of these keystones, unwittingly causing the volcanoes to awaken. Guided by the oracles, Alejandro and Lupe, the Seed Crackers embark on a mission to retrieve the stolen keystone before disaster strikes.

​

The birds, with the help of the iguana patrol, track the rats through perilous lava tunnels, dodge booby traps, and confront their opponents. After a tense chase and clever maneuvers, they reclaim the keystone just in time. With the stones restored to their rightful place, the volcanoes settle, and peace returns to the islands.

For their bravery, Pepe is named an official Seed Cracker, and the team leaves with the satisfaction of knowing they’ve saved the Galapagos—treasure or no treasure.
